While walking down the busy hospital corridor in my white coat, an arrogant new intern carrying a tray of hot drinks abruptly turned and spilled scalding coffee all over my chest.<\/p>\n
Instead of apologizing for her carelessness, she crossed her arms, glared at me with pure disdain, and burst out laughing at the stain on my uniform.<\/p>\n
“Watch where you’re walking, you miserable old-timer! You better hope I don’t report you, because my husband is the actual CEO of this hospital and he can fire anyone he wants with a single word,” she shrieked loudly for all the nurses and patients to hear.<\/p>\n
A crowd of medical staff immediately gathered around us, whispering anxiously and expecting me to cower in fear before the arrogant young woman.<\/p>\n
Instead of panicking or raising my voice, a cold, unshakeable wave of calm washed over me, and I slowly reached into my pocket.<\/p>\n
I pulled out my phone, unlocked the screen, and dialed my husband’s private direct line without breaking eye contact with the furious intern.<\/p>\n
The phone rang twice before a deep, familiar voice answered on the other end of the line, asking what was wrong.<\/p>\n
I raised my voice just enough to cut through the murmurs of the surrounding crowd, keeping my gaze fixed dead on the intern’s smug face.<\/p>\n
“You need to come down to the third-floor cardiac wing right this second, honey,” I said clearly and coldly into the phone.<\/p>\n
“Your new wife just threw hot coffee all over my lab coat and is currently threatening to have me fired from my own hospital.”<\/p>\n

The moment those words left my lips, the color completely drained from the arrogant intern’s face, and her smug smirk instantly vanished into thin air.<\/p>\n
“W-what? Who are you calling? What are you talking about?!” she stammered, her voice suddenly shaking with sudden nervousness as she looked at me up and down.<\/p>\n
Before she could process what was happening, heavy and hurried footsteps echoed down the hallway as the hospital’s actual chief executive officer pushed his way through the stunned crowd.<\/p>\n
It was my husband, Richard, who had rushed straight down from his executive boardroom upon hearing my voice and the shocking revelation.<\/p>\n
Richard\u2019s eyes locked onto the massive coffee stain smeared across my white coat, and then shifted slowly to the trembling intern standing beside me.<\/p>\n
His face turned a furious shade of crimson, his jaw clenching tightly with absolute rage as he recognized the woman he had secretly married just three weeks ago behind my back.<\/p>\n
“Chloe! What in God’s name do you think you are doing?!” Richard roared, his voice booming across the entire hospital wing with terrifying authority.<\/p>\n
Chloe gasped, stumbling backward as she realized the quiet, unassuming doctor she had just assaulted and insulted was actually the legal owner and primary board shareholder of the entire medical institution.<\/p>\n
“Richard,<\/span> honey! I didn’t know!
